Exploring container options in Azure

With the different container tooling and orchestration options offered by Azure, choosing the right option can be challenging task.  After some research and several proof of concepts, STYLELABS is gradually moving its technology stack to Docker. The session will start with a brief overview of the current offering (ACS, ServiceFabric and ACI as the latest addition),  followed by a summary of our findings gained so far and steps taken to make the transition.

Speaker: Fréderic Foselle is the VP of technology at STYLELABS and has 10+ years experience in the software field. He’s passionate about technology and following Azure from the beginning.

The secret to building large scale, distributed, cloud applications

I’ve been designing large scale, distributed, cloud applications since the dawn of the Azure platform. One of the patterns that keeps recurring in many of these designs is the ‘event’. In this session I will introduce you to the world of events and all event oriented design patterns such as event processing, event sourcing, event projection, and much much more…

Speaker: Yves Goeleven Yves has been shipping enterprise and cloud software since 2001. He is specialized in the design of distributed software systems in the cloud using messaging. He works as a Solution Architect for Particular Software (NServiceBus), where he is responsible for all Azure related transports, persisters and hosts. This includes Azure storage services, service bus, cloud services and service fabric. He is one of the first to be awarded as Windows Azure MVP by Microsoft and has been reawarded for the last 7 years.
