Session info

Loads of new features in Azure … let’s have a horizontal look at them

It looks like Azure is expanding in many directions : web, mobile, data-analytics, backup, media, remote desktop, API management, document databases, search, cache …. In this session we’ll see a brief overview of these new technologies so we can still see the big picture and understand where Azure is heading to.

Speaker: Kurt Claeys is an Azure geek since the launch in 2008, worked as cloud competence leader at Ordina, co-founded the AZUG.BE, was MVP between 2008 and 2010, is still Microsoft Certified Trainer, worked for 3 years at Microsoft as Azure Technology Solution Professional, currently is a freelance Azure architecture consultant (www.nuboid.be) where he now exclusively works on Azure projects.

Cool NoSQL on Azure with DocumentDB

DocumentDB is the latest NoSQL storage option released to Azure. In this session you will learn what DocumentDB is, what features it contains, how it is different to other storage solutions and in what kind of situations you should/could use it. You will also see a lot of hands-on to show what is possible with DocumentDB.

Speaker: Jan Hentschel is a Senior Software Development Lead at Ultra Tendency UG. He is a Microsoft Azure MVP and Microsoft Certified Trainer focusing on building enterprise applications based on Microsoft technologies.
